Accountability Vs. Bus

We All Work Hard

I have long given up the discussion or debate on who works harder. 

Some people have to get up early. Some people have to stay up late. Sometimes we marathon. Sometimes we sprint. 

Some people have physically demanding jobs, while others finish their day mentally drained. 

The comparison game is forever a losing competition. And it’s a competition I’ve given up entering.

Put Your Good Work Out There

Carroll Spinney, performer of Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch, was discovered by Jim Henson after an ill-conceived, technically difficult performance at a puppet festival. 

Jim said to Spinney, “I liked what you were trying to do.”

Don’t wait ’til it’s perfect. Don’t wait ’til it’s fully conceived and you’ve ironed out all the wrinkles and kinks. 

Put your good work out there. You might be surprised who might see what you’ve made and say, “I liked what you were trying to do. I want to help you do it better.”

We allowed ourselves only to be distracted by our priorities and not our pressures?

What if we decided ahead of time what our priorities would be and stayed focused only on those things. 

What if we allowed others to focus only on their priorities, and we didn’t pressure them to think otherwise and use their time differently.
