As an artist, you are the brand.

Each of us is responsible for creating and maintaining our individual brands. And as good brand managers we must decide ahead of time where we’ll draw the line on the material we’ll perform, the art we will create, and the jobs we will accept.

The line is going to be different for all of us. But we must decide before we get too hungry.
